(1) Unless otherwise noted, all readings are from the textbook (Hunt, et al., The Making of the West). Readings from other texts handed out in
class are mentioned by name on their due date.
(2) Dates listed are read-by dates (the assigned pages should be completed by the date listed).
(3) You will occasionally also be assigned reading questions from insets within the chapter. These sections typically include a short stimulus
accompanied by 3 to 4 questions. While these are labeled as reading questions, only a straightforward answer to each question is required (i.e.,
these are not LEQ practice).
