AP Review

Most of you will be taking the AP World History test in the GYM. Once the precise locations of all testers is announced, I'll post it on this page.

Given the time of the test (3 hours, 15 minutes of testing time), it is possible that y'all will test through a bit of LASA lunch. You will get at least a 30-minute lunch (likely during regularly-scheduled lunch) and report to 7th.
Remember, YOU CAN DO THIS!
Test-Taking Resources
   AP/ Mock AP Grading
   AP Exam Information
   Strategies

Essay Writing: Remember, you write ONE DBQ and ONE LEQ, which may reflect a variety of historical thinking skills. In the past, students wrote two
LEQs, one of which focused on CCOT and the other on Comparison. Linked below are previous topics for the CCOT and CA that you can use
for review/practice (but remember, now LEQ can target one of four historical thinking skills: CCOT, Comparison, Causation, or Periodization).

        Past CA topics

SAQs have changed on the WHAP test this year: you'll write 3, and now have a choice between prompt 3 OR prompt 4.

Review Materials (print out whatever you'd like!)

World History Timeline

"College Board Speak" (created by Mrs Aguayo Tabor to help you decode terms the CB uses)

Gender Issues Across Time (in PDF form; sourced from the web)

"Cram Packets" (originally sourced from the web, but edited by Ms. Pettigrew to reflect LASA's WHAP curriculum)
NOTE: These packets also appear in scrolling format on the review page for each class period.

   Period 1 & Period 2 (together are now 20% of Section I)
   Period 3
   Period 4
   Period 5
   Period 6
Timeline of the Cold War (created by Ms. Pettigrew)

Empires Throughout History (website that lets you compare empires - throughout history! Note: DON'T go crazy on this site; there are lots
of empires you don't need to focus on, but for those of you who love charts and graphs-- enjoy!)

Compare Religions (website that lets you-- surprise!-- compare religions!)

AP Review Presentations

The GoogleSlides Presentations listed below review the content of the various time periods.  They are organized for the PREVIOUS format of the AP World History test; however, the content changed little, so these are still valuable. Unlike a traditional lecture, they're text-heavy slides.
NOTE: The slideshows also appear in scrolling form on the review page for each class.
